A Lucy Moment
OK, I'll be the first to say I pulled a stupid trick. Just finished trimming my flower gardens hedges and decided to shift the battery-operated hedge trimmer to my left hand. Apparently, I did it too fast, the right thumb did not release the "on" button quick enough before the left hand came up to grasp it. I knew it was going to be bad as I could see the pink rubber garden glove rapidly filling with blood. Yipes! Applying pressure as I ran around the side of the house, I yelled for my gardener to follow me into the house and get the Krazy Glue. (I always keep it for just such an occasion because we live way out.) After first washing the deep cut, I poured peroxide on it, then held the two sides of my finger together all the while applying pressure, I instructed her to first lay a straight bead of Krazy Glue across the cut, then do a zig zag pattern (much like stitching) over the dried straight line. Once the bleeding slowed I decided I probably needed stitches or at the very least needed a tetanus shot as I have never had one. She wanted to take me to the hospital, but she had plenty of work left, so I decided to just drive myself - about a forty minute drive one way - to the ER. Fortunately, they weren't very busy, so two hours (yes, I know unheard of right?), a couple of x-rays, a tetanus shot, and six stitches later I was on my way home. It actually took longer to get the Krazy Glue off the wound before they could stitch it than it did to stitch it. But, thank God the Krazy Glue worked or who knows what might have happened? Be safe, be blessed!

THANK YOU GOD!
Okay, it's been a little over three weeks since my last post. The verdict's in...I'll live! LOL There for a while I wasn't so very sure. The vitamins and minerals plus the protein collagen I am taking have made a huge difference. My energy level is slowly but surely coming back. How do I know? Because for one, I can actually get out of bed. LOL And, I now have found the energy to not only brush my teeth a couple times of day but am able to do a little housework. LOL Although I still have my "days" (although fewer and fewer) life is good! Blessings to all!
